Blackjack Tips to Win at the Table

Blackjack is one of the most popular casino games in the entire world. When you’re winning, Blackjack is great, but when you’re not, well, the game loses a certain part of its charm, shall we say. The great thing about Blackjack is that there are Blackjack rules you can master, and if you have a solid Blackjack strategy in place, your chances of winning will exponentially increase. You can of course, play Blackjack for free online and gain a great deal of experience, but is there anything else you can do to help you win at the table? Actually, yes there is. Here’s a look at some tried and tested Blackjack tips to ensure you win at the Blackjack table.

Know when to stand – One of the most important things to consider when playing Blackjack, is to know when to stand. Whether it is, in the casino, or simply if you are looking to play Blackjack for free online, knowing when to stand is very important. First and foremost, regardless of anything else, if your current hand total stands at 17 or higher, make sure you stand. If you are currently in possession of a pair of 10s that is splittable, or face cards which are splittable, rather than splitting them, you should instead stand. You should also stand if you can see, that the face up card of the dealer stands at 6 or lower, and your current hand stands at 13 or higher.

Blackjack Super Strategies: Splitting and Winning

In our series of Blackjack Super Strategies blogs, today, we would like to introduce, ‘Splitting’ a hand in Blackjack. For those who have played the game in the past, must be aware of what splitting means while playing Blackjack.

But even for those who have previous Blackjack experience, as well the the ones that are new to the game, we would like to recommend, when to split a hand to your advantage.

When a player is dealt two cards of the same face value, he may choose to ‘Split’ his cards and play them as two different hands. The player has to place another bet of the same size as initial bet amount for the second hand as well. He will then, play both hands separately and make the Hit or Stay decision for each one of them.

So basically whenever you are dealt, it is time to decide whether to Split the hand or not. Based on mathematical probability here’s when you should Split the hand and when to refrain from doing so.

1. You should always split 8’s and Aces: Splitting 8’s is recommended as two 8’s which is 16, is the worst total to sit on, in Blackjack. Splitting Aces is a great idea as the deck is full of picture cards (K, Q J and 10) and there is a fair chance of you scoring a couple of Blackjacks instantly.

2. You should never split 10’s or 5’s: The explanation is pretty simple for 10’s, as two 10’s totals 20, which is second to a Blackjack and a rarity to lose. Whereas two 5’s totals 10, which again gives your hand an edge against the dealer, as you have a great chance of ending up with a winning total with an Ace or any picture.

Blackjack: What to Split, What not to?

The confusion arises among a lot of blackjack players is when to split a pair. Most blackjack players have tons of questions with regards to Splitting in the game. The mistake that most Blackjack players make is when they split any pair they get.

Knowing when to split pairs in blackjack can be vital in order to increase your chances of winning. We're going to tell you some of the basic BlackJack rules behind splitting.
What you should always Split?

One golden rule you should get in your head is: Always split your aces and eights.
Splitting a pair of Aces increase the odds of you getting a strong hand, no matter what card the dealer is showing. If you don’t split your aces, your total will be equal to 12 - one ace is equal to 11 and other one is equal to 1. So, it always makes sense to split rather than playing them as one hand.
Similarly, the pair of eights should also be split. 16 is a weak hand and hitting at it is still a dicey proposition. The Strategy of playing your pair of eights as one hand only increase your chances of losing. So never plan to stay on it.
What you should never split?
Never split tens, fours and fives: Having a pair of 10s means you're likely to win. If you split tens, then you are most likely to get two worse hands. Similarly, splitting a pair of fours or fives just going to give you two weak hands...read full blog here-Blackjack: What to Split, What not to?

The Blackjack strategy is the term used to describe the best Blackjack strategy for all non-card counters. It tells you when to hit, when to stand, when to double and when to split which is a basic query of every non-card counters. Memorizing the strategy chart can be difficult, time-consuming and boring, For every decision to hit, stand, double, or split, the strategy game tells you if you made the correct play or not. Whereas in comparison to hardcore Blackjack players, that are ridiculously serious about the game. For some, playing by the rules and losing a hand is better than breaking the rules and winning. That is because Blackjack is all about odds, and by breaking the hit or stand rules, you could seriously disrupt the balance of the Blackjack table.

The Blackjack Goal

Before understanding when to hit or stand in Blackjack, you need to understand the game. The goal of Blackjack is simple—beat the dealer’s hand without going over 21 or else you will bust. Both you and the dealer are dealt two cards each. However, while yours are face-up valued card, whereas only one of the dealer’s cards is visible. Does Skill Work While Playing The Game Of Blackjack ?

Blackjack is a good example of a game where skill can play an important role. While the shuffling of the cards produces a random deal, there’s still some element of decision-making that can affect a player’s results. Players who make good decisions will have better results over time than those who make bad choices in how they play their cards. Two strategies that some blackjack players use in an effort to maximize their results are explored below:

Basic Strategy in Blackjack: Blackjack is one of the very few casino games in which players can minimise the house advantage they face by using what is known as the “basic strategy.” The basic strategy is a set of rules that tells players the statistically, the best way to play a hand based on two factors – the up card of the dealer and their own cards. The basic strategy doesn’t ensure a player will win every hand. Although using the basic strategy, does give a player the best possible chance of winning and will help minimise the cost of play in the long run. Remember, using basic strategy does not eliminate the house advantage – it merely minimises it. Many casinos actually distribute basic strategy cards that players can use while they are playing. During a hand, players can also ask the dealer what decision they should make (hit, stand, etc.) based on blackjack strategy…Read full blog post here- Does Skill Work While Playing The Game Of Blackjack ?
